89% Grenache, 11% Mourvedre

Our 2020 HOOD Red Wine stands nude in a crowd of wine enthusiasts with no new oak, stems or byproducts to hide behind. Aromatically it delivers red fruits and spice with hints of leather, herbs and tar. It has a mouth filling texture yet stays light on its feet. It is round and subtle; obvious yet complex. The tannins are long and drying which provide the structure needed to hold this wine together. Far from being a fruit bomb or even fruit forward it is extremely well balanced with sweet and savory flavors underlying acidity and plenty of tannin.
